AdiSamarth Foundation is an NGO working for poor people with a deep commitment to supporting families who are struggling to meet their basic needs. Our mission is rooted in compassion, dignity, and action—reaching people who are often forgotten due to poverty, unemployment, and lack of opportunity.
Recently, the team of AdiSamarth Foundation visited several villages in Uttarakhand. During our visits, we witnessed the harsh realities of rural poverty. Many families are living in extremely difficult conditions, especially those who do not have stable jobs or any source of income.
One of the major reasons behind this situation is migration (palayan). Due to a lack of local employment opportunities, many people are forced to leave their villages in search of work, while those who remain behind struggle even to manage their basic daily expenses. This has created a cycle of poverty that deeply affects families, children, and the elderly.
As an NGO working for poverty in India, we believe it is important to first understand the problem before trying to solve it.
Recognizing the seriousness of the situation, our team conducted detailed village surveys. The purpose of these surveys was to identify families who are severely affected by poverty and are unable to meet basic needs such as food, healthcare, and daily living expenses.
Through this process, we identified vulnerable individuals and families and extended support to them in whatever ways were possible. Our work is not based on assumptions—it is based on real conversations, real observations, and real needs.
This approach helps us function as an NGO working to reduce poverty in India through targeted and meaningful support.
At AdiSamarth Foundation, we strongly believe that every human being has the right to good food and a dignified life, regardless of whether they currently have a job or a stable income.
Poverty should never take away a person’s basic dignity. That is why our efforts focus not just on short-term relief, but on compassion-driven support that respects people and their circumstances.

While our recent work has focused on villages in Uttarakhand, our vision goes beyond one region. As an NGO for poor people, AdiSamarth Foundation strives to reach individuals and families across different parts of India.
Wherever there is need, we try to reach out and help—within our capacity and resources. Even small efforts can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life.
We understand that doing this work alone can be challenging. But with your support, we can expand our reach and help many more lives.
When you support AdiSamarth Foundation, you become a part of a mission that is working honestly and responsibly to reduce poverty and support people in need.
Together, we can do more.
